SPECIFIC OUTCOME 3

Describe the requirements applicable to a confined space entry permit.

The responsibilities of the issuer and receiver of the test permit are described.

The specified requirements for testing the working environment, before entering a confined space are described.

The responsibilities of the confined space entry permit receiver in terms of personal protective equipment (PPE).

The responsibilities of the test permit receiver are described in terms of the requirements related to emergency situations.

The procedure for the hand over of the permit on completion of work is described.

ASSESSMENT

By applying permit to work systems, the individual will be required to embark on remedial action, problem solving.
