Why this Course?

This qualification responds to Output 3.1.2 of the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS III), which emphasises the need for programmes that meet industry demands, including those supporting apprenticeships and N-Courses.

With the growing reliance on personal computers in homes, schools, and businesses, there is a significant demand for skilled technicians who can maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade IT systems. This qualification aims to meet that demand by equipping learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on skills in computer repair and support.

This qualification does not cover vendor-specific programmes (such as Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA certifications). However, it provides a solid foundation, enabling learners to work across different platforms and pursue further certifications if desired.

To remain competitive in the rapidly evolving tech industry, learners are encouraged to stay updated with technological advancements through continuous learning and membership in professional IT associations.
