A qualified learner will be able to:
Develop and implement operational OHS management systems
Identify, control, and mitigate workplace hazards and risks
Monitor, evaluate, and improve health and safety practices
Promote a strong safety culture within organisations
Integrate OHS reporting into broader organisational systems
Engage with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Why this Course?
Occupational Health and Safety is critical to every organisation’s success. In South Africa, the right to work in a healthy and safe environment is protected by the Constitution, making OHS both a legal and ethical priority. This qualification helps you become part of the solution to workplace safety challenges, both locally and globally.
Workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses don’t just harm individuals—they affect families, businesses, economies, and even social security systems. The costs of preventable incidents are borne by society through increased insurance claims, disability benefits, and lost productivity.
